As our enthusiastic and hardworking Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for:

  1. Partnering with the Store Manager in daily store operations.
  2. Managing store activities in the absence of the Store Manager.
  3. Providing coaching, training, and development to store employees.
  4. Maintaining good customer, donor, and community relations; resolving complaints; ensuring quick and efficient service.
  5. Communicating personnel issues to management; issuing disciplinary warnings, conference reports, employee evaluations, and setting goals in coordination with HR and District Sales Manager.
  6. Maintaining store standards and inventory levels.
  7. Overseeing Back Room Processing (BRP) to meet processing goals.
  8. Managing cash, safeguarding cash in registers and safes, and banking as per policy.
  9. Assisting in establishing and maintaining safety measures and loss prevention.
  10. Performing other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma / GED or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years' retail management or supervisory experience.
  • Proficiency in POS and cash handling.
  • Valid driver’s license with proof of insurance.
  • Ability to pass background checks including criminal and sex offender registry.
  • Effective communication skills with management, staff, customers, and donors.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist.
  • Ability to push, pull, and grasp objects, including carts and fixtures.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions.
  • Ability to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodations.

Schedule:

Our stores operate 7 days a week. Schedules are flexible and determined by management. Full-time employees may work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
