Overview of the Assistant Manager of Sales and Service role

You will support the management team in achieving goals by providing World-Class service. You will serve as a role model for building relationships with customers and maintaining store supervision to ensure appropriate staff coverage.

Responsibilities

  1. Lead the store team to create an exceptional customer experience and exceed sales goals.
  2. Ensure sales floor staffing is adequate and serve as a role model for sales associates in sales and service, prioritizing customer experience.
  3. Coach staff on customer service principles, successes, and challenges.
  4. Utilize training resources to educate the team on products, improve selling skills, and achieve business goals.
  5. Create a positive environment where all associates are treated fairly and with dignity, aligning with our People-First Philosophy.
  6. Ensure timely resolution of client service issues, including delivery/pick-up and outstanding issues, through effective use of client information systems.
  7. Demonstrate excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.
  8. Apply critical thinking to identify challenges and develop action plans promptly.
  9. Manage time effectively to execute multiple tasks and prioritize appropriately.
  10. Require 2-3 years of retail sales or management experience in a customer service-related field.

Physical Requirements

  1. Be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods.
  2. Lift and mobilize medium to large items up to 75 lbs., using proper equipment and safety techniques.
  3. Full-time associates should have open availability to meet business needs.
  4. Part-Time Flex associates must be available for at least 15 hours weekly, including weekend shifts and during the holiday season, with availability on two separate weekend days.
