Job summary

Dollar Tree in La Porte, TX is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, deliver excellent customer service, and develop a strong team.

You will assist with opening/closing, merchandise flow, payroll and scheduling, loss prevention, and ensuring a clean, organized sales floor. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma (preferred), store management experience in retail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Store management experience in retail or related environment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures, displays, and overall storefront effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cash handling, and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, organized store areas and ensure safety and company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash; ensure policies are followed.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, and trash disposal.
