FirstCash is hiring an Assistant Store Manager in Houston, TX. The role drives daily store operations, leads staff development, handles customer relations, and supports achievement of financial goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Must be able to work flexible retail schedule including weekends.
• Cash handling experience required.
• Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise others.
• Must be 18+ years old.
• Computer literate and POS experience.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate a customer‑centric environment by engaging customers in a friendly and professional manner and rapidly addressing customer issues.
• Monitor and assist in the training of Pawnbrokers so their development meets the prescribed FirstCash standards.
• Recruit top talent by sourcing candidates through company‑prescribed channels.
• Opens and closes the store, including counting cash drawers and merchandise and ensuring procedures protect assets.
• Ensure asset protection through inventory control, property safety procedures, documentation, and securing loans.
• Administer processes and procedures within the store, including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, store systems, and reporting.
• Evaluate store financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting.
• Ensure operating standards meet FirstCash standards.
