Reports to: Store Manager/Associate Manager

Job Classification: Hourly Non-Exempt

Position Summary

Assistant Managers help exceed expectations, deliver exceptional service, and demonstrate passion for our brand. They work closely with the Store Manager to lead a team focused on sales results, support recruitment, talent development, and performance management.

Key Responsibilities
Consumer Engagement
  • Greet and assist every customer; coach associates in real-time.
  • Maintain product and promotion knowledge to explain value and build loyalty.
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager on brand standards, customer service, and store goals.
  • Prioritize customer experience, resolve concerns, and exceed expectations.
Operational Excellence
  • Lead merchandising, collaborate on new arrivals, and ensure execution.
  • Enforce policies, conduct loss prevention training, and manage inventory control.
  • Create schedules supporting payroll and budgets; oversee expenses and inventory.
  • Assist in business analysis, planning, and sharing feedback with the Store Manager.
People & Culture
  • Recruit and onboard top talent; evaluate current staff.
  • Motivate and inspire sales teams; recognize performance and coach development.
  • Demonstrate pride and professionalism; foster inclusion and feedback.
  • Support innovation, company initiatives, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of retail management experience.
  • Bachelor’s/Associate degree preferred; high school diploma required.
  • Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and some travel.
  • Strong communication and time management skills.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, squat, and lift up to 20 pounds.
