Description

Leads the daily operations of the sales floor at a Retail Store location for Goodwill of the San Francisco Bay to help fund the Goodwill mission of ending unemployment. Assists with leading production room as appropriate. Key responsibilities include people leadership, store operations, customer service, financial management, inventory control, donation processing, and training and development of store Team Members.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develops and executes retail operations plan to achieve goals for operating income, revenue, and production.
  • Monitors product levels daily to achieve sales targets.
  • Ensures payroll and operating costs are managed to budget.
  • Ensures Team Members deliver excellent customer service.
  • Works to de-escalate customer situations and find solutions.
  • Maintains store cleanliness and brand reflection.
  • Partners with community organizations to promote Goodwill's mission.
  • Acts as a Goodwill ambassador to the community.
  • Leads day-to-day sales floor operations.
  • Ensures proper training and performance of staff.
  • Acts as a key holder, closing shift manager, and backup to the Store Manager.
  • Processes complex sales transactions.
  • Ensures staff operate per company standards.
  • Travel to other locations as needed for support and training.
  • Collaborates with support areas to meet business goals and ensure compliance.
  • Maintains consistent attendance.
  • Builds and manages a high-performing team.
  • Responsible for performance management, staffing, and development.
  • Supports company culture change initiatives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • One-year retail management experience.
  • One-year customer service experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to pass background and drug screening.
  • English proficiency.
Physical Requirements:
  • Frequent lifting/carrying up to 20 lbs.
  • Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, and perform physical activities regularly.
