Job Shift: Varies

Leads the daily operations of the sales floor at a Retail Store location for Goodwill of the San Francisco Bay to help fund the Goodwill mission of ending unemployment. Assists with leading production room as appropriate. Key responsibilities include people leadership, store operations, customer service, financial management, inventory control, donation processing, and training and development of store Team Members.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Develops and executes retail operations plan to achieve daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly goals for operating income, revenue, and production.
  2. Monitors product levels daily to achieve sales targets.
  3. Ensures payroll and operating costs are managed to budget.
  4. Ensures Team Members deliver excellent customer service.
  5. Works to de-escalate customer situations and find appropriate solutions.
  6. Maintains store cleanliness and brand presentation.
  7. Partners with community organizations to promote Goodwill's mission.
  8. Acts as a Goodwill ambassador to the community.
  9. Leads day-to-day sales floor operations.
  10. Ensures staff are well-trained and fulfill their duties.
  11. Acts as a key holder, closing shift manager, and backup to the Store Manager.
  12. Processes complex sales transactions.
  13. Ensures store operations comply with standards and procedures.
  14. Travel to other locations as needed for support and training.
  15. Partners with support areas to meet business goals and ensure compliance.
  16. Maintains consistent in-person attendance.
  17. Builds and manages a high-performing team.
  18. Responsible for performance management, staffing, and development of Team Members.
  19. Supports company culture change and change management processes.
  20. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
  • One-year retail management experience
  • One-year customer service experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to pass background and drug screening
  • Proficient in English

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequently lift/carry/push/pull 20 lbs.
  • Occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, reach, climb, crawl, squat, kneel, and bend regularly.
