Job summary

The Salvation Army Hyattsville store is seeking a full-time associate to support the day-to-day operations of the store and warehouse. You will supervise staff when needed, assist customers with locating items and pricing, and ensure displays remain neat and well-stocked.

Responsibilities include handling cashier funds securely, resolving routine issues, and stepping in for the Store Manager when required. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, with prior retail experience advantageous.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Retail store experience preferred or any equivalent training/experience that provides required knowledge and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in locating items and prices and explain store policy.
• Assist in supervising store employees and participate in daily store/warehouse operations.
• Ensure accountability and security of cashier funds.
• Maintain neatness and attractiveness of store merchandise and well-stocked displays.
• Assist employees in resolving routine problems and performing special assignments.
• Take on Store Manager responsibilities when needed.

Qualifications: Education and Experience

High School diploma or G.E.D. preferred and experience working in a retail store preferred or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
