Job Title: Assistant Manager
Essential Function
Store Managers are responsible for hiring, developing, and leading all store associates, ensuring optimal customer experiences, overseeing store operations, and maintaining brand standards. They develop strategies to meet performance indicators and financial targets through analysis, planning, communication, and accountability. Assistant Managers support the Store Manager in these areas and assume primary duties when the Store Manager is absent.
Your role at CosmoProf:
- Supervise and support associates' daily goals to deliver exceptional client experiences, maximize sales/KPIs, and drive customer loyalty, focusing on both in-store selling and Omni-channel strategies.
- Ensure all brand standards are met, including merchandising, POGs, marketing, and dress code.
- Act as the main contact for resolving customer issues and analyze store trends to anticipate customer demands.
- Engage, train, and develop team members, leveraging hiring platforms and recruiting efforts to build a strong team.
- Identify individual strengths and opportunities, providing coaching or counseling as needed.
- Hold team accountable to company policies, resolve associate concerns, and maintain positive relations.
- Build relationships with Store Manager peers and communicate regularly with AM/DM.
- Foster an environment of diversity, inclusion, and belonging.
- Ensure execution of company processes through training, management, and continuous improvement, including digital strategies like Omni-channel fulfillment.
- Manage inventory, payroll, and store opening/closing procedures accurately and timely.
- Ensure a safe environment for staff and customers, following all policies and protecting assets through proper inventory and cash control procedures.
- Utilize reports, tools, and technology to optimize store performance and ensure compliance with safety and training standards.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be 18 years or older
- Preferred: 3+ years retail sales/customer service experience
- Preferred: 1+ year management experience
- Ability to lead or support a team to meet objectives
- Effective communication skills
- Flexible scheduling availability
- Cosmetology license is desirable but not required

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements
The role involves standing, walking, bending, lifting, and other physical activities. Work may require working in various store environments, with safety precautions in place. The environment is well-lit, heated, and ventilated.

Compensation ranges from $18.33 to $22/hr, depending on experience.
