Job summary

Petstock Smithfield is seeking an Assistant Store Manager (2IC) to partner with the Store Manager in leading a passionate team and delivering world-class customer service. The role is full time, Tuesday to Saturday, with a 40-hour work week, and involves supporting stock and VM, plus coaching the team to perform at a high level.

You will help drive sales targets, maintain safety standards, and foster a positive, inclusive culture where colleagues feel empowered and valued.

• Experience in a similar store leadership role.
• Demonstrated drive to achieve and exceed sales targets.
• Strong leadership with the ability to motivate and build high-performing teams.
• Ability to prioritise and manage conflicting priorities for timely tasks.

• Assist in managing VM of stock displays and maintain VM standards.
• Recruit, onboard, and induct high-calibre new team members.
• Foster a fun, supportive in-store culture and strong team morale.
• Proactively support local marketing opportunities and sponsorships.
