7 Brew Coffee in Tinley Park, IL is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to partner with the Store Manager to drive growth, operations, and preserve 7 Brew’s culture and values. You will coach, train, perform admin duties, and help oversee operations across all dayparts, reporting to the Store Manager.

This pipeline role is designed to grow into a Store Manager within 6–12 months through structured runway and coaching.

Qualifications

• Previous leadership experience preferred.
• Beginner-level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willing to work varied shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends.

Responsabilités

• Be proficient in all Brewista and Shift Lead duties and skill sets.
• Maintain wait times, cleanliness, and customer interactions through training, coaching, encouragement, and accountability when necessary.
• Maintain a positive culture through proper training, delegation, follow-up, hosting team building sessions, and balanced, frequent performance feedback to all members of the team.
• Work with the Store Manager to create a weekly shift schedule, maintaining a low cost of labor while ensuring quick wait times and short lines.
• Support strong operations across all shifts, ensuring consistent hours of operation are met.
• Track and order necessary inventory, small wares, and parts/equipment, while maintaining a low cost of goods sold through eliminating waste and accurate counting/ordering.

SUMMARY

The Assistant Store Manager partners with the Store Manager to drive the growth, profitable operation, and preservation of 7 Brew’s culture, mission statement, and values. The Assistant Store Manager is a leader of the crew and maintains genuine connections with them and the unique nuances of business at their stand.

In addition to scheduled shifts, the Assistant Store Manager is expected to coach, train, perform admin duties, and help oversee operations across all dayparts. The Assistant Store Manager reports to his or her Store Manager.

ROLE PURPOSE AND CAREER PATH:

The Assistant Store Manager role is a pipeline position designed to develop into a Store Manager within 6–12 months. The role exists to:

• Support their home stand with additional leadership
• Cover Store Manager vacancies
• Assist with new stand openings
• Develop into a Store Manager through structured runway and coaching

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Be proficient in all Brewista and Shift Lead duties and skill sets
• Maintain excellent wait times, cleanliness, and customer interactions through training, coaching, encouragement, and accountability when necessary
• Maintain a positive culture through proper training, delegation, follow-up, hosting team building sessions, and balanced, frequent performance feedback to all members of the team
• Work with the Store Manager to create a weekly shift schedule, maintaining a low cost of labor while ensuring quick wait times and short lines
• Support strong operations across all shifts, ensuring consistent hours of operation are met
• Track and order necessary inventory, small wares, and parts/equipment, while maintaining a low cost of goods sold through eliminating waste and accurate counting/ordering
• Ensure appropriate cash handling, deposits, and change for the stand
• Take ownership of solutions, whether by solving the problem directly or looping in an approved partner or vendor — “make it happen”
• Ensure the crew is aware of and prepared for health inspections and consistently operates with an importance on food safety
• Promptly implement and communicate directives from upper management
• Thoughtfully delegate tasks to Shift Leads and Brewistas to facilitate efficiency and appropriate development
• Assist at other locations relatively close to the home stand when asked
• Additional duties as specified by Who Brew leadership

WORK SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 35-hour work week
• Working over 40 hours per week should be minimal and only with approval from the Regional Operations Manager, Director of Operations, or VP of Operations
• Work a flexible schedule, which can include early mornings (5 a.m.) and late nights (11:30 p.m.)
• Regularly work weekends and be available to work holidays, if necessary

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Create and maintain genuine, uplifting interactions
• Work carefully and quickly with hot water and coffee, glass bottles, and dairy products
• Be able to work outside for prolonged periods, in all weather conditions
• Be able to lift up to 50lbs
• Be able to stand comfortably for hours at a time
• Be able to climb a ladder and use a stepladder
• Be able to stand, sit, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as necessary to stock and clean in the stand
• Safely walk in between and around cars in the drive thru line
• Safely use a utility knife
• Operate any position in the stand during peak hours
• Maintain awareness of the shift’s operations while working a position
• Be able to address operational, procedural, or cultural issues with team members
• Adapt to problems and implement solutions during stressful situations
• Effectively manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Effectively lead and direct multiple personality types under pressure
• Has demonstrated leadership abilities in a fast-paced environment
• Beginner-level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Job Type: Full-time/Hourly
