Position Purpose:

Assistant Store Managers in Training are learning the various responsibilities and functions of the following roles: Assistant Store Manager, Operations Assistant Store Manager, Night Operations Assistant Store Manager, and Specialty Assistant Store Manager. They will support the Store Manager in developing strategies to drive store sales and profitability through effective leadership and communication with associates.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Customer Service: Supervise associates in selling efforts, ensure the store's stock levels, and maintain an appealing store appearance. Support staffing, stock management, customer issue resolution, and service needs for installed sales and product sales.
2. Supervising Store Associates: Involve interviewing, hiring, motivating, coaching, training, developing, and communicating with staff. Learn the performance management process, including semi-annual reviews and disciplinary procedures.
3. Operations Management: Supervise front-end processes, including sales, returns, special services, and lot support. Oversee back-end processes like receiving and stocking, ensure proper operation of store equipment and systems, and manage daily financial operations, emphasizing safety compliance.
4. Business Analysis and Merchandise Planning: Drive department profitability through sales trend analysis. Collaborate with key partners to plan merchandise placement and signage, and support inventory management to maintain stock integrity.

Reporting Structure:

Report to a Store Manager. Upon completing training, gradually assume supervisory responsibilities of associates.

Travel and Physical Requirements:

• Overnight travel less than 10%.
• Mostly sitting; occasional movement or lifting of light articles.

Working Conditions:

Indoor, comfortable environment; infrequent unpleasant conditions.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be 18 or older.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED.
