Job summary

Mattress Firm is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to elevate the customer in-store experience and support a seamless omnichannel journey. This role serves as a bridge toward a future Store Manager position, emphasizing coaching, product knowledge, and strong merchandising execution.

You will work with the Senior Store Manager to drive sales, mentor associates, and ensure consistent store standards. This position offers career growth through on‑the‑job training and development programs.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift, pull, and push 50+ pounds.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Execute MFRM selling programs and support a seamless omnichannel experience to create a compelling and engaging environment that puts the customer at the center.
• Serve as a lead in resolving customer‑related issues and escalating when necessary.
• Assist the Senior Store Manager in driving company initiatives and achieving sales performance goals by coaching associates on selling practices and ensuring execution of in‑store merchandising across multiple store units.
• Support development of team members by providing technical and product knowledge and serving as a subject‑matter expert.
• Assist the Senior Store Manager with training of store associates.
• Promote a culture of coaching by providing insights on how team members can improve the customer experience and increase their selling aptitude.
• Achieve or exceed store financial targets through effective execution and customer service at the store level.
• Ensure store execution of product merchandising, marketing, and POP standards.
• Follow Mattress Firm procedures for product transfers to ensure proper documentation of inventory.

• Competitive pay range of $59,000 – $72,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
