Job summary

Shoe Carnival in Tyler, TX is seeking a dependable Assistant Store Manager to oversee daily store operations as a key holder. This full-time role supports the General Manager, drives a customer-first environment, and leads by example.

Responsibilities include opening/closing the store, supervising team members, delivering excellent service, training new associates, managing cash and safety procedures, and contributing to visual presentation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail or customer service experience.
• Previous supervisory experience is a plus.
• Must be able to complete Key Carrier Certification within 60 days.
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Great customer service and a positive attitude
• At least 2 years of retail or customer service experience
• Previous supervisory experience is a plus

• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Due to keyholder responsibilities, including store opening/closing and equipment use, applicants must be at least 18 years of age

Physical Requirements:

• Able to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 lbs
• Comfortable bending, reaching, and working on your feet
