Base pay range
$55,000.00/yr - $65,000.00/yr
Assistant Store Manager (FT) Tampa, Florida - Full-time
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise all areas assigned by the Store Manager, following policies regarding Customers, Associates, and merchandising.
- Learn all phases of Store operations.
- In the absence of the Store Manager, lead the entire store operation to ensure standards and best practices are met.
- Lead all Company Best Practices and maximize productivity.
- Analyze Store reports to evaluate expenses and performance, communicating variances to the Store Manager.
- Ensure proper scheduling of Associates to meet business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with all regulations and safety policies.
- Manage payroll administration, including punch edits, scheduling, and reporting.
- Assist in recruiting, hiring, training, and developing Associates.
- Handle Associate Relations issues, reporting incidents as needed.
- Monitor expenditures within budget, controlling payroll hours as primary expense.
- Prioritize safety, ensuring all Associates understand emergency procedures and safety policies.
- Maintain a professional appearance and uphold the Company Dress Code.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting store environment.
- Manage merchandise presentation, recovery, sizing, and markdowns according to standards.
- Assist with Loss Prevention training and Store shortage goals.
- Lead the inventory process and ensure proper administration of stock policies.
- Maintain the Public View Monitor system properly.
- Competencies include: Managing work processes, business acumen, planning, talent building, collaboration, leading by example, effective communication, accountability, and execution.
Qualifications:
- Two or more years of Store or Assistant Store Manager experience in retail.
- Ability to supervise, motivate, and communicate effectively.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize, and exercise independent judgment.
- High-quality Customer service skills.
- Fluency in English.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends.
- Basic mathematical skills and proficiency with store equipment.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, and lift over 25 lbs as needed.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Direct supervision of all non-exempt Associates.
