Job Description

The primary role of the Assistant Manager/Manager in Training is to develop and demonstrate the skills necessary to successfully oversee the operation of a Maplefields Store in the absence of a manager. This individual is also to assist the Store Manager in the day-to-day activities associated with the store and the development and training of store sales associates, while ensuring that company standards are met at all times.

Examples of Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Assist in recruiting, hiring, and training individuals to provide exceptional customer service.
• Coordinate and participate in all store operations, monitor cash drawers, complete financial paperwork, and provide shift coverage as needed.
• Create a positive work environment to motivate and train staff.
• Implement and enforce daily operating procedures, ensure store cleanliness, organization, and proper merchandising.
• Manage merchandise displays, pricing, signage, and vendor policies.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed, including spill response and incident reporting.
