Overview

Break Time Assistant Managers assist in the management and operations of a Break Time Convenience Store, including managing the location in the Store Manager’s absence, coaching and mentoring team members, and assisting with store finances, including expense control. Assistant Managers are energetic leaders who believe it only takes a moment to make your day better.

Responsibilities

  1. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, engage with customers, handle complaints, and ensure fast and friendly transactions.
  2. Store Operations: Assist with daily reporting, banking, inventory, maintenance, and food programs.
  3. Merchandising and Sales: Execute marketing, merchandising, and promotional activities.
  4. Supervision: Support store operations, train employees, and ensure compliance with regulations.
  5. Communication: Maintain professional communication with all stakeholders.
  6. Financial Responsibilities: Understand and help manage store finances, control shortages, and participate in audits.
  7. Teamwork: Assist in recruiting, training, coaching, and creating a positive work culture.
  8. Technology Use: Utilize POS systems and other technology for daily operations.
  9. Policy Adherence: Follow company policies and perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  1. 18 years of age or older
  2. Availability to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays
  3. Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance
  4. Strong customer service skills
  5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lead a team
  6. Accurate work with minimal supervision
  7. Mathematical ability for transactions and reports
  8. Ability to learn new systems and operate office machinery
  9. Physical ability to handle products in cold environments and lift up to 50 pounds
  10. Ability to stand for up to nine hours and ascend ladders
  11. Effective communication skills in English
  12. Successful background check and drug test
  13. Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Preferred Skills

  1. Management/leadership experience
  2. High school diploma or GED
  3. Retail sales experience
