The Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager in sales, customer service, store appearance, and operations. This role involves managing the store during the Store Manager’s absence and leading store team members in customer service.

Essential Job Functions

  1. Lead the team in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
  2. Supervise customer service levels in the retail showroom, ensuring team members execute customer service programs effectively.
  3. Assist in staffing the retail sales counter during peak hours.
  4. Help set team member goals, provide feedback, coaching, and ensure ongoing training.
  5. Participate in hiring processes, including interviews and candidate evaluation.
  6. Ensure proper handling of customer interactions, returns, exchanges, and merchandise invoicing.
  7. Communicate Zipline messages and delegate merchandising tasks.
  8. Ensure team adherence to policies, schedules, and proper clock-in/out procedures.
  9. Perform store opening/closing duties, including securing the premises and preparing deposits.
  10. Maintain store facilities and equipment.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills/Education/Knowledge/Experience/Abilities

Required: Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification, RSS Certification

Desired: Certified Parts Professional Certification, ASE Certification, Bilingual (Spanish preferred)
