Position Overview

Job Description

The Assistant Manager is responsible for overseeing the customer experience, training and development of the store staff, leading by example on the selling floor, and maintaining store standards in the selling floor and stockroom.

Reports To: Store Manager

Supervises: Assists management with all sales associates, desk associates, and stock associates

Essential Functions

• People Development: Ensure all associates complete training per company guidelines. Lead by example through training, developing, and providing ongoing feedback and coaching on product knowledge, selling skills, visual merchandising, and customer experience.

Customer Experience

• Customer Service: Ensure excellent customer service at all times by executing and achieving the Customer Experience through regular assessment, coaching, and follow-up with the team.
• Visual Merchandising: Maintain visual merchandising standards, directives, promotions, and ensure cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and stockroom.

Drive Sales & Profitability

• Sales Goals: Meet or exceed profitability expectations in sales, payroll, shrink, and conversion.

Operational Effectiveness

• Payroll Management: Meet payroll expectations.
• Loss Prevention: Control company assets by adhering to loss prevention measures.
• Policy Compliance: Execute and comply with all company policies and procedures.
