General Summary:

As a Family Dollar Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers and assisting the Store Manager in daily operations. Responsibilities include maintaining inventories, store appearance, and completing daily paperwork.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

• Greets and assists customers in a positive, approachable manner. Answers questions and resolves customer inquiries and concerns.
• Maintains a presence in the store by providing excellent customer service.
• Ensures a clean, well-stocked store for customers.
• Supervises, trains, and develops Store Associates on Family Dollar operating practices and procedures, under the Store Manager's guidance.
• Assists in unloading merchandise, organizing, and transferring stock from the stockroom to the store.
• Helps with ordering merchandise, record keeping, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Supports loss prevention efforts.
• Assumes management responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Follows all company policies and procedures.

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Ability to interpret operational directives.
• Retail management experience preferred.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly, up to 55 lbs occasionally, and perform physical activities like walking, standing, and climbing.
• Availability for flexible full-time schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Skills include customer focus, organizational skills, communication, problem-solving, and relationship management.
