Position Summary: If you are a high energy, outgoing person who loves to help and lead others and is looking to join a leadership team that is committed to creating a great place to work and even better shopping experience for our guests, this job is for you! Assistant Managers support the Store Manager and other team members in delivering an exceptional guest shopping experience.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the store team’s Guest Service behaviors, providing coaching to ensure all guests are greeted in a friendly manner, making them feel welcomed and appreciated, and always “make it right” for our guests.
  • Support the Store Manager in building and developing a strong team through effective training, scheduling, coaching, and fostering an engaging environment that reflects the Company values.
  • Partner with the Store Manager to achieve operational excellence and meet financial goals related to promotions, sales, and controls.
  • Assist in maintaining the store's appearance and cleanliness, including the coffee station, food service area, and bathrooms, delegating tasks to the team to meet Company standards.
  • Oversee quality control, merchandising, safety programs, and other operational guidelines for successful food service, ensuring product levels are maintained and stock is rotated appropriately to achieve 100% in-stock levels.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager or in their absence.
  • Must be able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
Working Relationships:

Store team members, Store Manager, District Manager, and various Corporate personnel and vendors

Minimum Education:

High School or GED

Minimum Experience:

1 year retail or food experience – must complete Assistant Manager Training program before assuming the role

Preferred Experience:

1-2 years in retail, guest service, or restaurant leadership role

Preferred Licenses/Certifications:

ServSafe / Food Safety certification is a plus but not mandatory

Soft Skills:
  • Comfortable talking and interacting with guests and team members
  • High energy
  • Ability to switch between activities quickly
  • Team-oriented; willing to give extra effort to help others
  • Helpful computer skills
Scheduling:

Primarily second shifts, opposite the Store Manager, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Hours & Conditions:

Full-time, maximum 40 hours

Travel:

5-10% for store coverage and meetings. Must be able to deliver deposits independently if applicable, with own vehicle.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 10 pounds regularly, up to 25 pounds frequently, and up to 40 pounds occasionally. Ability to stand/walk 8 hours, reach, bend, squat, twist, grasp, work in cooler temperatures, and work in a moderate noise environment.

Other:

Special attire required in food establishments (hats, gloves, etc., provided).
