Overview
SUMMARY: The Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in achieving company goals through driving sales, developing talent, and executing store operations. The role requires representing the brand professionally, demonstrating exceptional customer service, and maintaining consistent messaging to team members.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 2 years of managerial experience in a specialty retail store with relevant traffic and volume preferred
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and adaptability to additional software
- Broad knowledge of the retail landscape
- Availability to work weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
- Commitment to two store closings per week, including one on Friday or Saturday
- Ability to utilize retail POS system and inventory scanner
- Ability to make change using American monetary units
- Ability to interpret moderately complex financial reports
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Ability to perform detailed tasks with minimal supervision
- Problem-solving skills for complex situations and dealing with difficult clients
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and relationship-building abilities
- Ability to communicate ideas clearly via email, memos, and reports
Work Environment
Physical requirements include:
- Lifting large and heavy packages
- Reaching overhead, bending, kneeling
- Standing and walking for extended periods
- Using ladders or step stools
- Performing store maintenance tasks
- Repetitive motions such as hanging, folding, ringing up customers
Must be at least 18 years old. The environment is moderate to loud, with adult content. Ability to lift 50 lbs. is required.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties:
- Serve as Manager on Duty in the absence of the Store Manager
- Assist and coach sales associates, ensuring compliance with company standards
- Manage break schedules and store coverage
- Foster a positive work environment and provide feedback
- Assist with merchandise presentation, signage, and displays
- Monitor performance and escalate concerns
- Motivate staff to build brand loyalty and ensure store security
- Ensure adherence to loss prevention policies
- Maintain professional and respectful treatment of staff
- Assist with floor set planning and execution
- Manage inventory procedures and promote open communication
