Job Summary
We are currently seeking a passionate and driven Assistant Manager to join our boutique team in New York City . This role is essential in supporting the daily operations of the store, ensuring an exceptional customer experience, and driving overall performance. The Assistant Manager will work closely with the Store Manager to maintain the brand's high standards and lead the team with a hands-on, collaborative approach.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist in multiple aspects of daily store operations, including opening/closing procedures, inventory management, client support and visual merchandising.
- Support the Store Manager in achieving sales targets and KPIs through team motivation and client engagement.
- Collaborate with the Store Manager to oversee and elevate the quality of the sales team's clienteling efforts, including the effective management of client books and product waitlists.
- Support and assist in leading the supervision, training, and mentoring of store associates to ensure consistently high service standards and strong knowledge of company ongoings and new product launches.
- Partner with Store Manager and Operations Manager to ensure operational excellence and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain a strong presence on the sales floor, acting as a role model in delivering personalized customer service, including the styling of and selling approach with all clients.
- Daily business interpretation to identify strengths and opportunities.
- Assist with the maintenance and upkeep of the store.
- Assist the Store Manager with recruiting store associates and maintaining a pool of potential candidates.
- Serve as a brand ambassador by wearing the product, providing brand information and product knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of retail experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven ability to drive sales and build customer relationships.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- High sense of initiative and a positive attitude.
- Comfort and available to multitask in a very fast paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail - floor standards and inventory control.
- Available to work non-traditional hours, including days, nights, weekends and holidays
- Proficiency with Shopify POS System preferred
- Understanding of the brand culture and modern aesthetic in order to deliver a premium client experience.
