As a Family Dollar Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers. Your key responsibilities include assisting the Store Manager in daily store operations, maintaining inventories, ensuring store appearance, and completing daily paperwork.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers in a positive, approachable manner. Answer questions and resolve inquiries and concerns.
• Maintain a presence in the store by providing excellent customer service.
• Ensure the store is clean and well-stocked for customers.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates on Family Dollar operating practices and procedures, under the direction of the Store Manager.
• Assist in unloading merchandise from delivery trucks, organizing merchandise, and transferring stock from the stockroom to the sales floor.
• Assist the Store Manager with ordering merchandise, record-keeping, payroll, scheduling, and cash register deposits and receipts.
• Support loss prevention efforts.
• Take on certain management responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.

Position Requirements:

• Education: Prefer completion of high school or equivalent. Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives (e.g., merchandise schematics).
• Experience: Prefer store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to regularly lift up to 40 lbs., occasionally up to 55 lbs., and meet demands of walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Availability: Ability to work flexible, full-time schedules including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
