As a Family Dollar Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers. Your key responsibilities include assisting the Store Manager in daily store operations, maintaining inventories, store appearance, and completing daily paperwork.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers in a positive, approachable manner. Answer questions and resolve customer inquiries and concerns.
• Maintain a presence in the store by providing excellent customer service.
• Ensure the store is clean, well-stocked, and appealing to customers.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates on Family Dollar operating practices and procedures, under the Store Manager's direction.
• Assist in unloading merchandise from delivery trucks, organize merchandise, and transfer stock from the stockroom to the sales floor.
• Assist the Store Manager with ordering merchandise, record keeping, payroll, scheduling, and cash register deposits and receipts.
• Support loss prevention efforts alongside the Store Manager.
• Assume certain management responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.

Position Requirements:

• Education: Prefer completion of high school or equivalent. Ability to interpret and explain operational directives (e.g., merchandise schematics).
• Experience: Prefer store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to regularly lift up to 40 lbs. (occasionally up to 55 lbs.), and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Availability: Ability to work a flexible, full-time schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
