Job summary

Goodwill of Southwestern Pennsylvania and North Central West Virginia is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in McMurray, PA to support the Store Manager in daily retail operations and drive sales while delivering customer-focused service. You will lead staff, ensure policy adherence, and manage performance to meet production and quality goals.

Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays and local travel are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent AND 1 year of experience in management required.
• Internal Candidates will be considered with High school diploma or equivalent AND 6 months of experience in the Goodwill Team Leader role required.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Assistant Store Manager will assist the Store Manager in the daily operations of the retail store/ outlet. This position will utilize critical thinking and interpersonal skills, active listening, and management abilities to achieve sales expectations and deliver customer-focused service. The Assistant Store Manager will oversee personnel and ensure the store operates efficiently. As the Assistant Store Manager, you will enhance your leadership skills and establish a career in retail while adding value to the community.

Duties will also include but are not limited to:

External Hiring Range: $18.60 - $21.00/hour

Schedule: Will vary, must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Travel: Local travel will be required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent AND 1 year of experience in management required.
• Internal Candidates will be considered with High school diploma or equivalent AND 6 months of experience in the Goodwill Team Leader role required.

REQUIRED CLEARANCES, LICENSES, AND CERTIFICATIONS:

• Qualified candidates must have a valid driver's license, active insurance policy, and reliable transportation for local travel.
• Candidates are expected to complete background checks assigned by Goodwill SWPA, including a National Criminal Background check, prior to their first day of employment.
• Candidates are expected to provide current, valid clearances (Child Abuse Clearance, FBI Fingerprints Clearance, and PATCH) prior to their first day of employment.
