Job summary

Shoeteria in La Puente, CA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for a full-time role with nights and weekends required. You’ll supervise store staff, participate in training, open/close, handle deposits, and drive sales while delivering exceptional customer service.

This position offers base pay plus commissions with a pay range of $22–$27 per hour. Ideal candidates have retail experience, can lift 25 pounds, and are ready to lead a team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service required.
• High School Diploma.
• Minimum of 2 years of prior retail experience.
• Must be able to climb a ladder.
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
• Standing for long periods of time.
• Bi-lingual a plus.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Assistant Manager experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and assist training all store personnel.
• Scheduled opposite shifts of the Store Manager.
• Perform other duties as needed and assigned by the Store Manager.
• Open and close the store.
• Prepare bank deposits and drop at bank.
• Buy change for store as needed.
• Process merchandise shipments.
• Keep store neat and clean at all times.
• Ring sales on cash register per agency guidelines.
• Greet customers and answer phones.
• Assist customers in finding items.
