Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona (GCNA) is seeking a Store Operations Leader to oversee daily sales floor activities at our Retail Store locations. You will guide production, service, and store performance while ensuring alignment with GCNA goals and brand standards.

Lead a high‑performing team, monitor payroll and costs, and partner with the community to advance the Goodwill mission. You will travel between GCNA locations to support stores and training initiatives.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• One year of retail management experience.
• One year of customer service experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, where applicable.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily operations of the sales floor and ensure team members perform duties.
• Lead and develop store team members through coaching and training.
• Manage payroll and operating costs to budget.
• Provide excellent customer service to donors and customers, resolving issues.

Position Overview

Leads the daily operations of the sales floor at a Retail Store location for Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona (GCNA) and its affiliated entities to help fund the Goodwill mission of ending unemployment. Assists with leading production room as appropriate. Responsibilities include people leadership, store operations, customer service, financial management, inventory control, donation processing, and training and development of store team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Develops and executes retail operations plan to achieve daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly goals for operating income, revenue, and production.
• Monitors product levels (floor work, as‑is, recycle, trash, seasonal back stock) daily to achieve bottom line sales budget against targets.
• Ensures payroll costs and operating costs are managed to budget.
• Ensures team members deliver excellent customer service to donors and customers, de‑escalating situations and finding appropriate solutions.
• Maintains clean, well‑kept store locations that reflect the Goodwill brand.
• Partners with community businesses and organizations to promote the Goodwill mission and serves as a Goodwill ambassador.
• Leads day‑to‑day operations of the sales floor and ensures Retail Store Associates and Customer Service Manager are well‑trained and fulfill duties.
• Acts as a key holder, closing shift manager, and backup to the Store Manager.
• Processes complex sales transactions, including customer returns.
• Ensures team members operate per company standards and procedures.
• Travels to other GCNA locations to assist other stores and attend training and development classes.
• Transfers to different stores as needed to meet business requirements.
• Partners with support areas (Asset Protection, Human Resources, Safety, Finance, etc.) to further business goals and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Builds a high‑performing team through performance management, staffing, compensation, and development.
• Plays a critical role in driving company culture change efforts and change management processes.

• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
