Job Summary

Assist the Store Manager and Manager In Training with recruiting, hiring, training, and managing store personnel to achieve sales goals, control expenses, and protect assets.

Essential Job Functions
  • Meet and exceed sales goals
  • Assist in recruiting and training staff
  • Provide coaching and enforce policies
  • Implement company initiatives
  • Recognize and develop talented staff
  • Manage daily store operations in absence of Store Manager
  • Supervise loss prevention practices
  • Communicate store needs effectively
  • Resolve customer issues
  • Ensure a fun, full-service experience for customers
  • Complete bank deposits
  • Demonstrate Journeys culture
Job Requirements
  • Prior retail management experience preferred
  • 6–12 months retail sales experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Desire to succeed in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to learn
  • Completion of training programs or equivalent
  • Ability to work 45 hours per week, including nights and weekends
  • Ability to climb, reach, bend, lift up to 50 pounds, and stand for long periods
  • Must be at least 18 years old
