General Summary

As a Family Dollar Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and assisting the Store Manager in daily store operations. Responsibilities include maintaining inventories, store appearance, and completing daily paperwork.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Greeting and assisting customers positively, answering questions, and resolving inquiries.
• Maintaining a clean, well-stocked store and providing excellent customer service.
• Supervising, training, and developing Store Associates under the Store Manager's guidance.
• Assisting with unloading merchandise, organizing stock, and transferring merchandise from stockroom to store.
• Supporting in ordering merchandise, record keeping, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Supporting loss prevention efforts and assuming management responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Following all company policies and procedures.

Position Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to interpret operational directives.
• Retail management experience preferred.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly and 55 lbs occasionally, with the ability to perform physical tasks such as walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, and pulling.
• Flexible, full-time availability including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Skills in customer focus, developing potential, results orientation, organization, communication, problem-solving, and relationship management.
