As an Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting the Store Manager in daily operations, maintaining inventories, store appearance, and completing daily paperwork.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers in a positive, approachable manner. Answer questions and resolve inquiries and concerns.
• Maintain a presence in the store by providing excellent customer service.
• Ensure a clean, well-stocked store for customers.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates on Family Dollar operating practices and procedures under the Store Manager's direction.
• Assist in unloading merchandise, organizing, and transferring stock from the stockroom to the store.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and record keeping, including payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Support loss prevention efforts.
• Assume management responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Ability to interpret operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drugstore environments preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly, and up to 55 lbs occasionally, and perform physical activities like walking, standing, stooping, and climbing.
• Flexible, full-time schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Skills include customer focus, developing potential, results-driven, organizational, communication, problem-solving, and relationship management.
