Job summary

Valor Oil, Hop Shops division, is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Goshen, OH. This role offers leadership growth within retail operations and clear advancement paths within Valor.

Starting immediately with pay of $16.50 per hour, 1st shift during training and then varied schedules. You will assist in store operations, mentor staff, and ensure excellent customer service while upholding safety and policies.

Qualifications

• Retail experience, preferably in a leadership or supervisory role.
• High school diploma required; further education or relevant experience is a plus.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to handle pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive attitude.

Responsibilities

Team Support & Leadership

Assist in recruiting, training, and developing team members.

Support daily operations.

Coach and mentor team members.

Step in for the Store Manager when needed.

Store Operations

Support in inventory management, cash handling, and store maintenance.

Assist in ensuring the store remains clean, well-organized, and meets all safety standards.

Ensure proper execution of store policies and procedures.

Customer Service & Community Engagement

Provide exceptional customer service.

Build and maintain strong relationships.

Assist with community engagement initiatives and outreach efforts.

Safety & Security

Help ensure the safety of team members, customers, and store property.

Assist with implementing security protocols and conducting regular safety checks to maintain a secure environment.

Requirements
