Job summary

J.W. Jung Seed Company in Fitchburg, WI seeks an Assistant Garden Center Manager to help lead our store team, develop displays, monitor inventory, and deliver exceptional customer service to every shopper.

You will train staff, coordinate ordering, watering and plant care, maintain neat outdoor and indoor displays, and support the Garden Center Manager in daily operations. This position offers hands-on leadership, growth opportunities, weekends and evenings, and a friendly, community-focused

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
• Experience with POS systems, inventory control, purchasing, and database management.
• Knowledge of annuals, perennials, trees, shrubs, soils, insecticides, and disease topics is preferred.
• Previous supervising or management experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Garden Center Manager in planning, ordering, and displaying plants and other products.
• Assist with training new employees.
• Assist with maintaining product quality through watering, trimming, and fertilizing.
• Assist with maintaining a clean, safe, organized and visually appealing environment - indoors and outdoors.
• Providing excellent customer service throughout the buying experience.
• Assist with customer service issues when necessary.
• Assist with unloading merchandise from trucks.

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Garden Center Manager to assist with the daily operations of our Fitchburg, WI Store.
