Position Overview:
As a Family Dollar Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and assisting in the daily operations of the store. You will support the Store Manager in maintaining inventories, store appearance, and completing daily paperwork.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers, resolving inquiries and concerns.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store and provide excellent customer service.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates on operating practices and procedures.
• Assist in unloading merchandise, organizing stock, and transferring items from stockroom to store.
• Support ordering merchandise, record keeping, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Assist in loss prevention efforts.
• Take on management responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to interpret operational directives.
• Retail management experience preferred.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly; occasional lifting up to 55 lbs; capable of walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, and pulling.
• Flexible, full-time availability including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Skills include customer focus, organizational skills, communication, problem-solving, and relationship management.
