General Summary:

As a Family Dollar Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers and assisting the Store Manager in daily store operations. Responsibilities include maintaining inventories, store appearance, and completing daily paperwork.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

• Greeting and assisting customers positively and approachable manner.
• Maintaining a clean, well-stocked store.
• Supervising, training, and developing Store Associates under the Store Manager's guidance.
• Assisting in unloading merchandise, organizing, and transferring stock.
• Supporting in ordering merchandise, record keeping, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Supporting loss prevention efforts.
• Assuming management responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Following all company policies and procedures.

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to interpret operational directives.
• Retail management experience preferred.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly, with occasional lifts up to 55 lbs; capable of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Flexible, full-time availability including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Skills include customer focus, developing potential, results-driven mindset, organizational and communication skills, problem-solving, and relationship management.
