Compensation Pay Range

$16.20 - $22.00

The actual hourly rate will meet or exceed the minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation may include annual, quarterly performance bonuses, or premiums paid under specific circumstances, based on schedule, facility, season, or work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if criteria are met.

Job Summary

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in sales, customer service, store appearance, and operations. This role manages the store during the Manager’s absence or shifts and leads team members in customer service.

Essential Job Functions
  1. Lead team members in delivering excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
  2. Supervise customer service levels and execution of customer service programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, etc.).
  3. Assist in staffing the retail sales counter during peak hours.
  4. Support in setting team goals, coaching, mentoring, and training.
  5. Participate in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring qualified candidates.
  6. Ensure proper telephone etiquette per company policy.
  7. Process online orders, transfers, and ship-to-store requests timely, and contact customers on shipment arrivals.
  8. Manage outside purchase orders and special orders efficiently.
  9. Handle returns and exchanges professionally, issue refunds correctly, and process merchandise returns properly.
  10. Ensure merchandise invoicing, communication of messages, and completion of merchandising tasks.
  11. Enforce compliance with company policies, including schedules and clock-ins.
  12. Perform opening and closing duties, including securing the store and deposits.
  13. Maintain store building, parking lot, signage, hardware, equipment, and delivery vehicles.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned.

Required: Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification, RSS Certification

Desired: Certified Parts Professional, ASE Certification, bilingual fluency (Spanish preferred)
