The Opportunity

The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for assisting the Store Manager in all day-to-day operations related to those tasks essential to store operation.

Responsibilities

• Performs management duties as assigned or in the Store Manager's absence
• Provides top quality customer service at all times
• Prepares food & drinks, cleans, stocks and maintains food prep area in compliance with health codes as needed
• Properly cleans and maintains equipment and ready high-margin products such as coffee, fountain drinks etc. Checks refrigeration equipment for proper performance a minimum of one time per shift
• Directs and prioritizes the work of the store personnel at the Store Manager's discretion
• Assists Store Manager with recruiting, hiring and training store employees
• Maintains quality brand image standards and pass evaluations. Maintains inventory

Requirements

• Minimum one-year previous experience in a convenience store, restaurant, or retail environment
• Management Experience
• Ability to work unsupervised in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work unaccompanied, standing, and without defined break periods. Occasionally working extended shifts of 12 hours or more, as assigned
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
• Obtain food handler's permit within 30 days of hire
