TrailersPlus, a Division of Interstate Group, is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily operations including sales, inventory, and customer service. The ASM will assist the Store Manager, help drive revenue, manage staff, handle service and repair work, and ensure accurate invoicing and paperwork across the location.

This Assistant Store Manager (ASM) will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our retail operations, including managing operations, sales, inventory, customer service, staff, service, and repair work. Primary responsibility will be assisting the Store Manager (SM) in daily operations, sales, generating revenue for the location, and running the store in the Store Manager’s absence.
The ASM directs and is responsible for all operational aspects of the TrailersPlus retail lot. In the absence of the Store Manager, the ASM will be responsible to plan and promote the daily schedule, coordinate and manage the performance of employees including development and accountability.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed in the essential duties and responsibilities section are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required.
The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, as well as six months to one year of related experience and/or training.
Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Also important is the ability to write routine reports and correspondence and to speak effectively with customers or employees. Spoken fluency in Spanish is a plus.
Requires the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. The ASM must also be able to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry as needed.
Knowledge of on-line computer systems is required for successful completion of the ASM job responsibilities and assignments. Basic keyboarding skills are also needed for efficiency.
Must be able to solve practical problems dealing with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. The position also requires the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
