General Summary:

As a Family Dollar Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers. Your key duties include assisting the Store Manager in the daily operation of the store, maintaining inventories, ensuring store appearance, and completing daily paperwork.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Greets and assists customers in a positive, approachable manner. Answers questions and resolves customer inquiries and concerns.
2. Maintains a presence in the store by providing excellent customer service.
3. Ensures a clean, well-stocked store for customers.
4. Supervises, trains, and develops Store Associates under the guidance of the Store Manager.
5. Assists in unloading merchandise, organizing stock, and transferring merchandise from stockroom to store.
6. Helps with ordering merchandise, record keeping, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
7. Supports loss prevention efforts.
8. Assumes management responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager.
9. Follows all company policies and procedures.

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Ability to interpret operational directives.
• Retail management experience preferred.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly, and up to 55 lbs occasionally, along with other physical activities.
• Flexible full-time schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Skills: Customer focus, organizational skills, communication, problem-solving, and relationship management.
