General Summary:

As a Family Dollar Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers and assisting the Store Manager in daily store operations. This includes maintaining inventories, store appearance, and completing daily paperwork.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

• Greets and assists customers positively, answering questions and resolving inquiries.
• Maintains a presence in the store by providing excellent customer service.
• Ensures the store is clean and well-stocked.
• Supervises, trains, and develops Store Associates under the Store Manager's guidance.
• Assists in unloading merchandise, organizing stock, and transferring stock from the stockroom to the sales floor.
• Helps in ordering merchandise and maintaining records, including payroll, scheduling, and financial transactions.
• Supports loss prevention initiatives.
• Assumes management responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Follows all company policies and procedures.

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to interpret operational directives.
• Experience in retail management preferred.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly, with occasional lifts up to 55 lbs, and perform physical activities like walking, standing, and climbing.
• Flexible full-time schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Skills include customer focus, organizational skills, communication, problem-solving, and relationship management.
