Job summary

SmartStop® Self Storage in Albuquerque, NM is seeking an Assistant Store Manager (Store #1322) to join our team. This role involves leasing storage, supervising a team, handling operations, and delivering exceptional customer service during daytime hours.

We offer a Monday–Friday 8:30am–5:00pm schedule with no night shifts, starting at $19.00/hour plus bonus, and a benefits package that includes health insurance, PTO, 401(k) matching, life and disability insurance, and employee assistance

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work both independently and with a team.
• Willingness to undergo a background check.

Responsibilities

• Prepare rental agreements.
• Handle monetary transactions and banking activities.
• Clean vacated units and perform general property cleaning.
• Promote and sell self-storage solutions to customers.
• Assist with light maintenance.
• Maintain knowledge of products and services.
• Require reliable transportation, a valid driver's license and current auto insurance.
• Position requires background check.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Company.

Assistant Store Manager (Store #1322 - Albuquerque, NM)

Job Summary - NO NIGHTS!

The right candidate pays attention to details, stays organized, and delights in finding great solutions to problems. This position is involved in all phases of the operation, including leasing storage and parking, managing a team, assisting with maintenance, supervising on‑site projects, and maintaining good relationships with tenants.

Hours of Operation: Mon - Fri 8:30am to 5:00pm; Sat 9:00am - 5:00pm; Sun 11:00am - 5:00pm

Starting at $19.00/hour + Bonus

What You’ll Do:

• Prepare rental agreements
• Handle monetary transactions and banking activities
• Cleaning of vacated units and general cleaning of the property
• Promotes and sells self‑storage solutions to potential customers
• Light maintenance
• Maintain a working knowledge of all products and services
• Must have reliable transportation, a valid Driver’s License, and current auto insurance
• The position requires a background check
• Other duties as assigned by the Company
