The TJX Companies, Inc. in Albany, OR, is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to foster an inclusive, high-energy environment.

You will empower Associates to deliver exceptional customer experiences and lead key store operations including merchandising, scheduling, and service delivery. You will recruit and train talent, mentor staff, and implement action plans for company initiatives while driving sales and efficiency in a fast-paced, off-price retail setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of retail leadership experience as an Assistant or Store Manager.
• Strong ability to lead, develop, and empower a large team.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills with ability to mentor others.
• Proficient in store operations, customer service, merchandising, people management, health and safety, and loss prevention.

Responsibilities

• Drive store performance by supporting sales results, managing expenses, and overseeing merchandising, backroom, frontline, cash office, customer service, markdowns, scheduling, shipping, and receiving, with focus on shrink and damages.
• Attract, recruit, and develop Associates through comprehensive training and ongoing development; mentor and role model a positive environment.
• Communicate and implement action plans for projects, targets, company initiatives, and store changes; provide input on succession planning.
• Implement strategies to meet sales, expense, and customer service targets; coordinate loss prevention and operational programs and improve store layout and efficiency.

What You’ll Do

About You

• Minimum of 2 years of retail leadership experience as an Assistant or Store Manager.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and empower a large team.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills with ability to influence and provide effective feedback and mentorship to others.
• Proficient in store operations, customer service, merchandising, people management, health and safety, and loss prevention, with strong follow-through skills to successfully implement tasks and initiatives.
