Job summary

7-Eleven, Inc. is seeking a Retail Assistant Manager to lead store teams and deliver exceptional customer service. You will work with the Store Leader to train staff, implement merchandising and marketing programs, and drive operations to maintain a safe, clean environment.

A strong focus on coaching, retention, and developing leaders will be essential to success. Ideal candidates bring experience in cash handling, fuel transactions, and loyalty program promotion, plus solid communication skills

Qualifications

• Oversee and provide customer service leadership, training and coaching to store employees.
• Identify qualified applicants, develop leaders, empower staff and encourage productivity.
• Assist in implementing merchandising and marketing programs.
• Cash handling and fuel transaction experience; promote loyalty program.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment following health and sanitation procedures.
• Strong oral and written communication and intrapersonal skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• High School diploma or GED preferred, or equivalent retail management experience.
• Valid Driver’s License and valid automotive liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee customer service leadership alongside the Store Leader for all store employees.
• Help maintain high retention by developing leaders and promoting from within.
• Assist in executing merchandising and marketing programs across the store.
• Manage cash handling and fuel transactions while promoting loyalty initiatives.
• Ensure store cleanliness and compliance with health/sanitation standards.

What you bring:

• Ability to oversee and provide customer service leadership, training, and coaching, alongside the Store Leader, for all store employees.
• Demonstrated strength maintaining high retention by focusing on identifying qualified applicants, developing leaders, empowering employees, and encouraging employee productivity.
• Ability to assist in implementing all merchandising and marketing programs.
• Competency in cash handling, fuel transactions, and promoting our loyalty program.
• Demonstrated ability maintaining a clean, safe environment by complying with all health and sanitation procedures to ensure the store is presentable and that all products are in-stock.
• Excellent oral and written communication and intrapersonal skills.
• Proficient computer knowledge (Microsoft products preferred Word, Excel).
• A High School diploma or GED is preferred, but not required for candidates that have at least one year of Retail Management experience.
• A valid Driver’s License from the state of residence while maintaining automotive liability insurance during course of employment.
• The ability to multi-task, perform repeated bending, standing, reaching, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.
