Job description

We are looking for an Assistant Store Leader for our 5th Avenue Flagship store. In this role, you will focus on developing, coaching, and providing feedback to the team to reach their full potential, driving store performance and delivering an excellent customer experience.

Reporting to the Store Leader, you will ensure Team Members receive regular feedback, development opportunities, and support to succeed. This role is key in maintaining high performance standards across the store, empowering team members to grow and excel in their roles.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  1. Provide regular coaching and feedback to Team Members to improve sales performance and achieve individual and store sales goals.
  2. Work closely with store leadership to identify areas of opportunity.
  3. Conduct performance and development conversations.
  4. Collaborate with Store Leaders to develop strategies for employee engagement, motivation, and retention.
  5. Identify high-performing team members and create development plans for their growth.
  6. Address performance issues and support Team Members in understanding their opportunities and action plans for improvement.
  7. Ensure all employees understand our brand values, goals, and expectations, and how they impact our business.
  8. Drive a culture of accountability, transparency, and high performance.
  9. Participate in hiring and onboarding to ensure new Team Members are set up for success from day one, with clear performance expectations and an understanding of our coaching culture.
  10. Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages teamwork, open communication, and personal growth.

We’d Love to Hear from You If You Have:

  • Leadership experience, ideally in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide a team.
  • Experience handling employee relations, including conflict resolution and workforce planning.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with a focus on creating a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • A results-driven mindset, with the ability to set goals and create action plans to improve performance and drive success.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to balance coaching duties with other responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A positive, motivating approach to leadership, fostering a supportive and empowering work environment.
  • Flexibility to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

What is Expected of You:

  • Must be able to bend, reach, and stretch for products, as well as lift, carry, and move at least 40 pounds.
  • Have a minimum of 40 hours of availability per week, including nights, weekends, and holidays, with flexibility for overtime.
  • Regularly stand and move around all store areas and be accessible to customers.

Note: This position does not involve being an influencer.

$42 per hour
