Job summary

Moonlighter FabLab Inc. in Miami Beach, FL seeks an Assistant STEAM Facilitator to inspire young makers through hands-on STEAM education. You will help run workshops and ensure safe use of fabrication tools, coding, and prototyping.

Qualifications

• Background or coursework in education, STEAM fields, or related creative discipline.
• Experience working with youth in educational or community settings preferred.
• Familiarity with fabrication tools and STEAM technologies (3D printing, laser cutting, coding).

Responsibilities

• Assist in facilitating engaging STEAM workshops, programs, and activities for diverse learners
• Support participants in using fabrication tools, technology, and creative materials safely and effectively
• Help design and prepare lesson plans, project materials, and hands-on learning experiences
• Guide students through project-based learning activities including coding, 3D printing, and prototyping
• Maintain a safe, organized, and inclusive learning environment
• Assist with setup, breakdown, and inventory management of equipment and supplies
• Collaborate with lead facilitators and staff to continuously improve programming quality
