The Office of the State Attorney, 18th Judicial Circuit, is seeking an attorney to handle prosecutorial criminal casework, conduct depositions, and perform legal research and writing.

Ideal candidates will have a law degree, be a member of the Florida Bar in good standing, and demonstrate the ability to manage a high-volume caseload while upholding public service and protecting victims' rights.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Prosecutorial criminal casework.
• Conduct legal research and writing.
• Conduct depositions and interview witnesses, victims, and law enforcement to prepare cases for prosecution.
• Trial work, including case preparation, jury selection, examining and cross-examining witnesses, opening statements, and closing arguments.
• Manage casework proficiently.
• Use office computer software and equipment.
