Great opportunity to bring your culinary skills to one of North America’s fastest-growing hospitality companies – Concord Hospitality Enterprises. This position of Assistant Sous Chef involves tempting our guests' palates with your attention to presentation, quality, and safe serving temperatures.

The right candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and capable of quick, authoritative problem-solving and delegation to foster growth in others. They should leverage their experience to coach and mentor the culinary team effectively. Striving for perfection while understanding its impossibility is key. This environment offers professional growth, emphasizing communication and organization as essential to kitchen success.

Responsibilities
  • Train kitchen associates to perform their duties effectively, including plate presentation and display work.
  • Write schedules, evaluate, and direct personnel.
  • Maintain open communication between management and staff.
  • Handle disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Provide necessary tools and equipment for staff.
  • Address kitchen problems promptly.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, inventory, and the MOD program.
  • Ensure all food served meets quality standards, is properly prepared, and efficiently delivered.
  • Assist in establishing goals, standards, and objectives to enhance reputation and profitability.
  • Supervise the kitchen in the absence of the Executive Chef, including utility and sanitation staff.
  • Maintain records and prepare recipe and presentation materials.
  • Ensure payroll hours are submitted timely.
