Solid Waste Management in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a Division Manager to oversee residential and commercial refuse collection, clean city operations, landfill and transfer station operations, and vehicle maintenance. You will ensure safe, efficient services and coordinate with other city divisions and agencies.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or business administration, five years of relevant experience, and two years of supervisory experience; a
Assume management responsibility for assigned division services including residential and commercial refuse collection, clean city operation, landfill and transferoperation, and vehicle maintenance operation; monitor and coordinate daily operations activities; identify opportunities for improving service delivery methods and procedures; participate in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies and priorities for assigned programs; coordinate assigned activities with other divisions and outside agencies and provide highly responsible and complex support to the Solid Waste Superintendent.
This is a safety sensitive position subject to random drug/alcohol testing.

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in environmental science or business administration;
and
Five (5) years experience in residential and commercial refuse collection, clean city operation, landfill and transfer operation, or vehicle maintenance operation;
and
To include two (2) years supervisory experience.
Possession of a valid New Mexico Commercial Driver's License (CDL); class A or B.
Possession of a valid City Operator's Permit (COP) within six months from date of hire.
Standard office environment with field and/or landfill exposure to noise, diesel grease, smoke, fumes, gases, potentially hazardous chemicals, waste and infectious materials; inclement weather conditions.
Essential and supplemental functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for walking, standing or sitting for a prolonged period of time.
