Job summary

ReNEW Schools in Logansport, IN is seeking an Assistant softball coach to support the JV softball program at Logansport High School. The role involves coaching and mentoring student-athletes and working within the school community.

Job Requirements:

• Demonstrate proper sportsmanship and respect for players, officials, opponents, fans, and other coaches
• Maintain good public relations with media, boosters, parents, players, etc.
• Serve as a positive role model for students, coaching staff, and the community
• Demonstrate knowledge of and ability to implement effective coaching theory, strategies, and techniques appropriate for high school athletes
• Ability to motivate student athletes to participate and sustain their interests in the program
• Availability to coach during summers and vacation periods;some evenings and weekend work will be required

Job Qualifications:

• Teaching Certification preferred
• Previous successful coaching experience
• Participation as a player in high school or collegiate level preferred.
• Upon offer, applicant must complete and clear a drug screen and expanded criminal history background check for school personnel as required by IN state law.
