Qualifications

• Previous softball coaching experience preferred
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Valid Tennessee teaching certificate preferred
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable

Responsibilities

• Assist the head coach to evaluate and formulate an improvement plan for the overall softball program.
• Provide supervision of student-athletes involved in Tennessee Middle Softball
• Assist the head coach with practices.
• Assist the head coach with coordinating all game day activities.
• Promote the softball program in both the school and the community and serve as the spokesperson in the area of public relations for Tennessee Middle softball.
• Work cooperatively with school staff, student-athletes, and parents in promoting Tennessee Middle Softball.
• Work cooperatively with coaches of other sports to ensure the overall success of Tennessee Middle Athletics.
• Perform all duties assigned by the head coach.
• Maintain and oversee the safety conditions of all dressing rooms, facilities, and equipment used by Tennessee Middle Softball.
• Coach individual participants in the skills necessary for excellent achievement in the sport involved.
• Enforce the code of conduct and expectations for the Tennessee Middle softball rogram.
• Perform such duties as may reasonably be assigned by the athletic director.
• Ensure accident/injury reports are submitted to the athletic office in a prompt manner.
• Assist with the development and implementation of the off‑season strength and conditioning program.
